Toby Gozell, Jr., 76, of Kennett, passed away Monday, Aug. 29, 2011, at NHC Healthcare in Kennett.
Born Jan. 26, 1935, in Glendora, Miss., son of the late Toby Gozell and Hattie Mae Corker Gozell, he was a gin worker, and a member of Jesus Name Tabernacle in Hornersville, Mo.
Survivors include one sister, Mable Goff, of Kennett; a special friend, Florene Potter, of Paragould, Ark.; seven nieces; nine nephews; nine great-nieces; 19 great-nephews; 12 great-great-nieces; 11 great-great-nephews; friends and staff at NHC, and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother, John Wesley Gozell and one sister, Lucille Hunt.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., today, Wednesday, Aug. 31, at Bradshaw-Emerson Funeral Home in Hornersville with Rev. Paul Moore officiating.
Burial will follow in the Lulu Cemetery at Senath, Mo.
Pallbearers were Ronnie Brown, Donnie Ward, Jerry Dillon, Tyler Gozell, Rick Bibbs and Lonnie Ward.
