Jerry Wayne Anderson, 60, of Kennett, son of the late Marshall Monroe Anderson and Lula Jackson Anderson was born April 10, 1951, in Morrilton, Ark., and passed away Monday, Aug. 29, 2011, in Kennett.
Jerry graduated from Delta C-7 and Southeast Missouri University. He was a Mason and at the time the youngest president to serve as President of the Kennett Jaycees. He dedicated his entire life to community service.
Survivors include two sons, Phillip J. Anderson, of Nashville, Tenn., and James Patrick Anderson and wife, Angie, of Gales Ferry, Conn.; three grandchildren by James and Angie, Zachary Anderson, Jillian Anderson and Luke Anderson, all of Gales Ferry; three brothers, Kennard Anderson, of Center Ridge, Ark., Tommy Anderson, of Center Ridge, and Carl Anderson of Kennett, and other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m., to 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 1, at First Christian Church in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 1, at First Christian Church with Rev. Dustin Morris officiating.
