Helen Agnes Richardson, 88, 0f Clarkton, Mo., passed away Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011, at St. FRancis Medical CEnter in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Born Apri, 4, 1923, daughter of the late Virgil Haile and Minnie Clark Haile, she was a member of Lynn Oak General Baptist Church, and shew as in the Women's Missionary Society.
On Feb. 12, 1944, in Piggott, Ark., she married Sam Richardson, Jr., who preceded her in death on May 29, 1997. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Alma June Boone; four brothers, Woodrow, Paul, Harold and Billy Haile, and two sisters, Oniska Douglas and Tessie Davis.
Survivors include five sons, Sammy Richardson and wife, Shirley, Jimmy Richardson and wife, Kathy, Danny Richardson and wife, Dot, Jerry Richardson and wife, Peggy and Terry Richardson and wife, Teresa, all of Clarkton; one daughter, Betty Ladymon and husband, Milton, of Clarkton; five sisters, Alma Barger, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Mildred Black, of Meridian, Miss., Wanda Wolcoxson, of Jonesboro, Ark., Frankie Day, of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Lavetta Robbins, of Ecru, Miss.; 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 27, at Lynn Oak General Baptist Church in Clarkton with Rev. Bill Orr officiating.
Burial was in the Mt. Gilead Cemetery at Clarkton.
The sons served as pallbearers, and the grandsons served as honorary pallbearers.
Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden, Mo., was in charge of arrangements.
