Jesse Wible Horton, son of the late Henry Clay Horton and Golden Fern Wible Horton, was born on Dec. 29, 1919, in Denton, Mo., and departed this life Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett, at the age of 91 years, 7 months and 27 days.
Mr. Horton farmed in the Kennett area for many years.
Jesse married Hayrue Autry on Nov. 5, 1938. She preceded him in death on April 23, 2010. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Jackie Wayne Horton and Jimmie Harold Horton; one brother, Ollie Arvel Horton and a sister, Mildred Lester.
He is survived by one daughter and a special son-in-law, Barbara and Dale Graham, of Kennett; one brother, Henry Clay Horton, Jr., of Branson, Mo.; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren, and other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 27, at The Bridge in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 27, at The Bridge in Kennett with Pastor Wayland Tom officiating.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Smith, Denny Blocker, Brode Horton, Mitchell Estes, Ronnie Horton and Terry Milburn.
