Charles Wayman Harrison, 66, of Malden died Saturday, August 20, 2011, at Cox Health South in Springfield. He was a Veteran and VFW Post Wappapello MO member and Commander. He was affiliated with the Presbyterian Church in Clarkton.

Born in Clarkton on July 10, 1945, he was the son of the late Charles Winford and Hilda (Reeves) Harrison.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one nephew, Steven Neldon.

Survivors include one daughter, Gwynda Allen and husband, Brian, of Nixa, Mo.; one son, Charles W. Harrison, Jr., of Poplar Bluff; friend, Sharon Blaylock of Durango, Colo., two sisters, Winnie Vandiver and Beverly Neldon, both of Holcomb, and three grandchildren, Stephanie Allen and Zach Allen, both of Nixa and Jack Harrison of Poplar Bluff.

Visitation will be held today, Wednesday, August 24, at 6 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, August 25, at 1:30 p.m., in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Paul Williams officiating. Burial with full military rites will be at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield. Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden was in charge of arrangements.
