Deborah Marlene Brown, 54, a lifelong resident of Kennett, Mo., died on Sunday, July 31, 2011 at St. Francis Medical Center, Cape Girardeau, Mo., She was born on July 24, 1957 in Kennett to the late D.W. Morris and Herma Jean Sharp. She was a member of the Hope and Glory Church, loved to read the Bible, writing, and spending time with family and friends

Survivors include; her mother, Herma Sharp; three sons, Gregory Swords of Burleson, Tenn., Jason Morris and Jonathan Morris both of Kennett; one daughter, Deborah Simmons of Kennett; two brothers, Gary Morris of Malden, Mo., and Michael Morris of Missouri; two sisters, Karen Jestus and Donna Edwards, both of Kennett; eleven grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father: D. W. Morris; two brothers, Donnie Morris and Jerry Morris; one sister, Carolyn Morris and one nephew, Timothy Morris.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m., to 8 p.m., Thursday, August 4, 2011, at Abiding Peace Church in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Friday, August 5, 2011 at the Abiding Peace Church with Sister Lee Weeks officiating.

Interment will follow at Gregory Cemetery, Kennett, Missouri.

Faith Funeral Service in Manila, Ark., is in charge of arrangements.
