Davey Lee Raspberry, 78, of Holcomb, Mo., passed away Monday, Aug. 1, 2011, in Kennett.
He was born Sept. 8, 1932, in Holcomb, and was the son of the late Jacob Marion and Edna Davis Raspberry.
He was united in marriage to Shelby Jean Livingston on Aug. 16, 1964, and to this union a daughter, Rebecca was born.
Davey was the owner of Hornet's Nest BBQ in Holcomb.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shelby Raspberry, and sister, Billie Jean Finney.
Survivors include his daughter, Rebecca Raspberry, of Holcomb; grandson, Matthew Blankenship, of Holcomb; granddaughter, Shelby Suzanne Ryan, of Holcomb; brother, James Roland Raspberry, of Hillsboro, Mo.; sister, Marianna Osborn, of Oklahoma City, Okla., and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will begin at noon,Thursday, Aug. 4, at Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Ark.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 4, at the Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Jack Allen officiating.
Burial will follow in the Stanfield Cemetery in Holcomb, Missouri. Pallbearers are Matthew Blankenship, Bryce Wyrick, Lloyd Wallace, Andy Wright, James Raspberry, and Mark Raspberry. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is 12:00 p.m. Thursday.
