Trula Lutes Shrum, daughter of the late J.B. Crain and Hester Smith Crain was born Feb. 1, 1921, in Doniphan, Mo., and departed this life Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at the age of 90 years, 5 months and 25 days.
She was a member of Maple Grove General Baptist Church, and retired from Emerson Electric Company.
Trula married Dorse Lutes, who preceded her in death. Later she married Varnell Shrum, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Lutes; three brothers, Thomas Crain, Jake Crain and Ross Crain, and five sisters, Thelma Murdock, Avis Raley, Shirley Owens, Jewell Rainey, and Regina Byrnes.
She is survived by one daughter: Kay Wilson and husband, Jim, of Holcomb, Mo.; two grandsons, Jamie Wilson and wife, Kelly, of Piggott, Ark., and Jason Wilson and wife, Rhonda, of Tampa, Fla.; two great-grandsons, Logan & Reed Wilson, both of Piggott; one brother, Bill Crain and wife, Moyra, of Holcomb, and other relatives and many friends.
Graveside services were held at 1 p.m., today, Thursday, July 28, in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton, Mo., with Rev. James Cowsert officiating.
Pallbearers were Jerry McCormick, David McCormick, Gaylon Mullins, Charles Wilson, Jamie Wilson, Jim Wilson and Brad Emerson.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or National Health Care in Kennett.
