Lois Stumon, daughter of the late R.B. and Mary Ann Holt Skelton, was born July 6, 1914, in Senath, Mo., and passed away Thursday, July 7, 2011, at the Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould, Ark., at the age of 97 years.
On July 20, 1935, in Arbyrd, Mo., she married Leo Stumon who preceded her in death on Jan. 3, 1976.
Survivors include two daughters, Martha Franks and husband, Larry, of Heber Springs, Ark., and Mary Edith Weyer, of Paragould; two sisters, Helen Petty and husband, Vaughn, of Senath, Mo., and Ruby Barnett, of Arbyrd; three grandchildren, Brady Jordan, Kim Bain, and Bruce Wayer; nine great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Melvin, Clyde, Bert, and Sam Skelton and by three sisters, Ethel Skelton, Bertha Bagby, and Nadine Buck.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 9, 2011, and will continue until 2 p.m., service time.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, at the McDaniel Chapel in Senath with Rev. Marc Reeves officiating.
Burial will be in the Memorial Gardens in Paragould.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Jordan, Steven Larkin, Jason Bain, Jesse Bain, Joe Lane, and Barry Bain.
