Born Sept. 27, 1926, in Kennett, daughter of the late Denver and Bertha Jackson Smith, she was a realtor/broker, owning and operating her own real estate office for 30 years until her retirement. Her lifelong goal was to retire at age 65 and travel the world. She accomplished her many goals and enjoyed her retirement years by making several trips to the Holy Land, Hawaii, Greece, and many other foreign countries. Earlene was a member of the First Chruch of the Nazarene in Winter Haven, where she was a member of the church choir and has sung in church choirs for over 60 years.
Surviors include one brother, Earl Smith, of Clarkton, Mo.; three sisters, Peggy Stephens, of Paragould, Ark., Phyllis McGruder, of Arab, Ala., and Shirley Smith, of Auburndale, Fla., and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 5, in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden, Mo., is in charge of arrangments.
