Don Earl "Beetle" Ross, 54, of Tunica, Miss., merly of Malden, Mo., passed away Saturday, July 2, 2011, at Baptist-DeSoto Hospital in Southhaven, Miss.

Born Aug.13, 1956, in Piggott, Ark., son of R.L. Ross and Erma Gene McClure of Malden, he was a 1974 graduate of Malden High School, attended two years at Three Rivers Community College, attended four years at Missouri State in Springfield, Mo., where he received an Associate Agriculture Degree, and received multiple degrees in banking.

He was a member of the Rotary Club in Tunica and attended First United Methodist Church and was vice-president of First Security Bank in Tunica.

On August 22, 2003, in Blytheville, Ark., he married Vikki Cheryl LaBrot, who survives.

Surivivors also include, one son, Ethan Robert Earl Ross, of the home; one daughter, Victoria Elizabeth Ross, of the home; one step-son, Devin Shane Miller, of Dexter, Mo.; his mother, Erma Gene Ross and husband, Lloyd Brown, of Malden; his father, R.L. Ross and wife, Isabell, of Malden; two brothers, Robert Ross and wife, De, of Gideon, Mo., and Rick Ross and wife, Sarah, of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; one sister, Jeannie White and husband, Tommy, of Mountain View, Mo.; and six nieces, four nephews, one great-niece, and three great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by one son, John Seth Ross.

Services were held at 11 a.m., today, Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at Bradshaw Chapel in Malden with Rev. Earnest Puckett officiating.

Burial was in Piggott Cemetery, Piggott, Ark.
