Donald Charles Williams, Sr., of Cardwell, Mo., son of the late Charlie Williams and Dolly Skief Williams, was born Jan. 6, 1954, in White Oak, Mo., and departed this life Saturday, June 25, 2011, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, Ark., at the age of 57.
Donald married Virginia Mashburn on July 13, 1972, in Kennett, Missouri.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Williams, of Cardwell; four sons, Donald Williams, Jr,. of Cardwell, Robert Williams and former wife, Lee Ann, of Senath, Mo., Mathew Williams and wife, Larissa, of Fairdealing, Mo., and Freddie Williams and wife, Debra, of Arbyrd, Mo.; one daughter, Retha Groves, of Kennett; 11 grandchildren; two brothers, Bill Williams, of Mounds, Ill., and Jerry Williams, of Olmsted, Ill.; three sisters, Offie Willard, of Kennett, Mae Morris, of Mounds, and Bernice Pyle, of Sacramento, Calif., and other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby and Noah Williams, and two sisters Pauline Ward and Rosemary Shown.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Tuesday, June 28, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 29, at McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Danny Hall officiating.
Burial will follow in the Gregory Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers are Robert, Mathew and Freddie Williams, Lonnie Orr, Robert and Jerry Mashburn, Damon Crowley and Jeffrey Laden.
