Leila Rice Oldsen, daughter of the late Roscoe Rice and Almena Pelouze Rice, was born Oct. 20, 1922, in St. Louis, Mo., and departed this life on June 13, 2011 at the age of 88 years, 7 months and 24 days.
Leila married Raymond F. Oldsen on March 16, 1944. Raymond preceded her in death on January 21, 2007. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Richard P. Rice and Phillip A. Rice; one sister, Kathryn Rice, and a son-in-law, Steven Wright.
Survivors include, two sons, Raymond Oldsen and his wife, Barbara, of Dudley, Mo., and Phil Oldsen and his wife, Connie, of Kennett; two daughters, Cheri Ramsey and her husband, Cris, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Kathryn Wright, of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was at 1:30 p.m., today, Wednesday, June 15, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., today, Wednesday, June 15, at McDaniel Chapel in Kennett with Rev. Dustin Morris officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were Corey Wright, Scott Wright, James Ramsey, Sid Jones, Danny Emory and Doyle Privett.
Honorary pallbearers were Joe Tidwell, John Calhoun and Jerry Young.
