Mary Lou Hinesly, daughter of A.M. Wilkins and Lucinda Temerance Bibbs Wilkins, was born Dec. 19, 1923, in Leachville, Ark., and passed away Sunday, June 12, 2011, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett, at the age of 87.
On Feb. 24, 1944, in Paragould, Ark., she married Joe Hinesly, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Russell Wilkins, Jack Wilkins, Bud Wilkins, Pete Wilkins and Don Wilkins.
She served as postmaster of the Hornersville Post Office for several years, and was a long time member of the Hornersville American Legion Auxiliary and the Hornersville Eastern Star.
Survivors include one son, Joe Mel Hinesly and wife, Carol, of Hornersville, Mo.; two daughters, Linda Brewington and husband, Don, of Cotter, Ark., and Anita Gamble and husband, Jim, of Hartsburg, Mo.; seven grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren, and other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held today, Tuesday, June 14, at the Hornersville Methodist Church with Revs. Jim Pemberton and Paul Moore officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Gardens at Kennett.
Pallbearers were K.C. England, Donald Cogburn, Josh Cogburn, Ryan Gamble, Jeff Gamble and Josh Farrell.
Honorary pallbearers were Jimmie Lee, Jr., and Richard Mara.
McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath, Mo., was in charge of arrangements.
