Bernice Bramlett, daughter of the late Jesse Booker Lambert and Kitty Draper Lambert, was born Nov. 7, 1911, near Brilliant, Ala., and passed away Friday, June 3, 2011, at the Ratliff Care Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo., at the age of 99.
On May 3, 1933, in Cardwell, Mo., she married Earl Bramlett, who preceded her in death on April 11, 1989. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Morris Lambert, Curlee Lambert and an infant brother, and one sister, Esther McClaren.
She was a graduate of Cardwell High School and was the collector for Buffalo Township for many years, which she did till the age of 89.
Survivors include a daughter, Charolyn Robison and husband, Jim, of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; a son, Rick Bramlett and wife, Betty, of Onancock, Va.; five grandchildren, Scott Robison, Leigh Ann Segraves and husband, Kelley, Amy Grose and husband, Larry, Abby Kenerly and husband, Bill, and Matthew Bramlett and wife, Rebecca; seven great-grandchildren, Berklee, Wyatt, Molly, Mason, Will, Paige and Myer; five sisters, Gladys Summitt, Kathleen Crow, and Maxine Sifford, all of Cardwell, Charlett Eubanks, of Paragould, Ark., and Wilma Barrett, of Leachville, Ark., and other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held today, Tuesday, June 7, at the Antioch Church of Christ with David Flanery and Raymond Lasley officiating.
Burial was in the Cardwell Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jim Robison, Scott Robison, Kelley Segraves, Matthew Bramlett, Cliff Cupp and Alan Williams.
