Billye Ruth Maxwell, 81, of Campbell, Mo., passed away Sunday, May 15, 2011, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Ark.
Born Jan. 8, 1930, in Perryville, Ark., daughter of the late L.R. Bull and Iva Payne Bull, she was a homemaker, a member of Cane Creek Baptist Church, and was a resident of Campbell, Mo., since 1952.
On Jan. 22, 1949, in Perryville, Ark., she married Wesley O. "Bud" Maxwell, who preceded her in death on Aug. 13, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one infant daughter, Marilyn, and one brother, Jack Bull.
Survivors include one son, Gary Maxwell and wife, Carol, of Kennett; one daughter, Vicki Brown and John McLeod, of Springfield, Mo.; two grandchildren, Tim Higgins, of Kennett, and Marcie Daniels, of Jonesboro; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Bernice Maxwell, of Rockford, Ill., Doris McNutt, of Pittsburgh, Texas, and Joye Lassiter, of Naylor, Mo., and two brothers, Bob Bull, of Pecatonica, Ill., and Johnny Bull, of Grove, Okla.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 18, at Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Campbell.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 18, at Landess Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Albert Camp officiating.
Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery-Landess Addition in Campbell.
Pallbearers are Bob Bull, Tim Higgins, Randy Daniels, Corey Daniels, Blake Deck and Donnie Brooks.
Honorary pallbearers are John Bull and Garry Lassiter.
