Carol Bernice Squires, daughter of the late Kendall Osborne and Anna Dutcher Osborne, was born Aug. 30, 1933, in Syracuse, New York and departed this life Wednesday, May 11, 2011.
Carol married Stuart P. Squires on Oct. 24, 1953.
Survivors include her husband, Stuart P. Squires, of Kennett; five sons, James Squires, of Kennett, Timothy Squires, of Atlanta, Ga., Andrew Squires, of Indianapolis, Ind., Jonathon Squires, of Minot, N.D., and David Squires, of Hamilton, Ala.; three daughters, Ruth Albrecht, of Houston, Texas, Rebecca Spurlock, of Kentucky and Deborah Vowell, of Paragould, Ark.; 18 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Susie Osborne, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by one son, Mark Squires, and one brother, William Osborne.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday, May 15, 2011, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will held at 2 p.m., Monday, May 16, at McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with Rev. Tom Gillum officiating.
Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers are Adam Squires, James Squires, Joshua Squires, Terry Davis, Jim Carr, and Jackie Carr.
Honorary pallbearer is Jerry Davis
