Bruce Edward Hill, age 49, departed this world of man for the Kingdom of Heaven on May 6, 2011, at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. He had been a resident of Fort Worth for the past 25 years.
Bruce was preceded in death by his mother, Judy Hill, of Kennett, Mo.; two infant brothers; and one infant great nephew. He is survived by his father and "other mom", Jim and Angialine Hill, of Springdale, Ark.; three sisters: Tonya Hill, of Ft. Smith, Ark.; Carla Byrd and husband, Mike, of Springdale, Ark., Dawn Rosado and Mike of Cabot, Ark., and his "other sister", Heather White, of Van Buren, Ark.; one brother, Cliff West and his wife, Robin, of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; two nieces, Charla Morris and her husband, Thadd, of Springlake, North Carolina, and Katy Hill, of Springdale, Ark., one great nephew Connor Hill, of Springdale, Ark., and two great nieces, Wren and Emeline Morris, of Springlake, North Carolina; his grandfather, Jack Barnes, of Livermore, Calif.; and two beloved aunts, Paula Wilder and Polly Legan, of Kennett, Mo. Bruce is also survived by William "Billy" Moore and his mother, Blanca, and the entire Moore family of Ft. Worth, Texas.
Being of an Army family, he attended several schools. Most noteworthy was Kennett High School where he was a member of the varsity football team and class president. Following graduation, he began his management career in retail clothing, working for Dillards, Old Navy, Foleys and Belk department stores.
Bruce was a member of Grace Temple in Ft. Worth, Texas, and served as Church Administrator and was a choir member. Bruce was a gift from God to the world. He will be missed.
