He was born Sept. 15, 1941, in Ark., to the late Delbert and Esther (Watson) McDonald.
He was an auto mechanic.
On Oct. 19, 1962, in Caruthersville he married Brenda Gayle Barkley, who survives.
Other survivors include two sons, James McDonald and Mark McDonald, both of Malden; two daughters, Becky Kinder of Malden and Teresa Cantrell of Malden; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Wayne McDonald of Batesville, Ark., Buell McDonald and Bobby McDonald, both of Kansas City, Mo., and two sisters, Ruthie Brock of Clinton, Ark, and Buelah Faye Burcham of Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Ruth Ann Hollis; one brother, Opie McDonald, and one great-granddaughter.
Visitation was held Friday, March 25, at Landess Funeral Home in Malden. The funeral services followed immediately in the funeral hone chapel with the Rev. Bobby Moore officiating. Burial was in Rosewood First Addition Cemetery at Malden. Landess Funeral Home of Campbell was in charge of arrangements.
