Lauren Caroline Duckett, 25, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Malden died Saturday, April 2, 2011 at St. Louis. She was a preferred account coordinator for the Drury Corporation. She was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau, a former member of the First General Baptist Church in Malden, she graduated from Malden High School in the class of 2003, and was a member of the Malden High School Choir and Beta Club.

Born in Polar Bluff on May 12, 1985, she was the daughter of Clark Duckett and Tina Duckett.

Survivors include her parents, Clark Duckett of Malden and Tina Duckett of Malden; one sister, Catherine Duckett of Malden; maternal grandparents, Reverend James and Shirley Black of Haubstadt, Ind., also many aunts, uncles, cousin, and numerous friends.

She was preceded in death by her fraternal grandparents, Reverend Rowland and Lueretia Duckett.

Visitation was held Monday, April 4, at First General Baptist Church in Malden. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, April 5, at First General Baptist Church with the Rev. David Wigger officiating. Burial was in Rosewood First Addition Cemetery at Malden. Landess Funeral Home of Malden was in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Malden High School Choir, 505 Burkhart, Malden, Mo. 63863.
