Mary Nell Wagner, 56, of Malden died Sunday, April 17, 2011, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff. She was a 1972 graduate of Malden High School and graduated from Three Rivers Community College in 1975, a Worthy Matron of the Carnation Chapter 141 Order of the Eastern Star, a member of the First Baptist Church in Parma and attended Sunnyvale General Baptist Church in Malden.

Born August 12, 1954, in Kennett, Mo., she was the daughter of the late A.E. "Tuff" Sturgeon and Miriam LaNelle (Bailey) Sturgeon. On July 3, 1976, in Parma, she united in marriage to Wendell Earl Wagner, who survives.

Other survivors include one daughter, Tara Gravseth and husband, David, of Slidell, La.; one son, Tyler Wagner of Dexter; her mother, LaNelle Sturgeon of Malden; one brother, Tony Sturgeon and wife, Sherry, of Neelyville; one half brother, Jack Sturgeon and wife, Jan, of Wappapello; one granddaughter, Carmen LaNell Gravseth of Slidell, and one niece, Kelly Dunivan, of Poplar Bluff.

Visitation was held Tuesday, April 19, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden. Order of Eastern Star services followed. Funeral services will be conducted today, Wednesday, April 20, at 2:00 p.m., in the Bradshaw funeral home chapel with the Rev. James Hamlett officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden. Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden was in charge of arrangements.
