Earnestine Sims, 70, of Kennett, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2011, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born Sept. 28, 1940, in Gobler, Mo., daughter of the late Willie Ed Hammons and Hattie Pittman Hammons, she was a member of Saints Home Church of God in Kennett.
Survivors include one son, Donald Sims, of Kennett; one daughter, Yvonne Childress, of Kennett; two brothers, Percy Hammons, of Chicago, Ill., and James Hammons, of Sauk Village, Ill.; two sisters, Lillian Wynn, of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Gracie Hammons, of Kennett; a son-in-law, Willie Childress; father of children, Donald Sims, and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by one son, Tommy Bracy; three brothers, Samuel, Willie and Toby, and two sisters, Pearlene Roland and Jesse Mae Hammons.
Visitation will be from noon to service time at 1 p.m., Friday, May 6, at Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, May 6, at Bradshaw Funeral Home with Elder Elijah Pulliam officiating.
Burial will follow in the Oakridge Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers are Donald Sims, Paul Roland, James Childress, Edward Earl Lee, Carl Roland and Willie Childress.
