Mildred Louise Winchester, 80, of Gideon died Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at her residence.

She was retired from Gideon Anderson Wood Box.

Born on January 12, 1931, in Gideon, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Raymond and Myrtie Mae Chambers Teel. She was united in marriage to John Marvin Strickland, who preceded her in death on May 20, 1989. On March 11,1979, in Gideon, she was united in marriage to Leo Marion Winchester, who preceded her in death on February 28, 1999. Her companion, J.B. Wren, also preceded her in death on Nov. 25, 2010.

She was also preceded in death by one granddaughter; Makayla Harrison, three infant grandchildren, one step-son; Larry Winchester, two brothers; Paul Teel and Melvin Teel, three sisters; Dorothy Teel, Martha Weathers and Shirley Pickett.

Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Lonnie Winchester of Piggott, Ark; four sons and daughters-in-law, Marvin Dale and Fannie Strickland of Kennett, Donald and Rhonda Strickland of Risco, Terry Glen and Doris Strickland of Puxico and Kenneth "Kenny" Strickland of Gideon; five sisters, Thelma Weathers of Dexter, Linda Thacker of Bernie, Wanda Traux, of Bernie, Loretta Stanberry of Dexter and Wilma Teets of Bernie; two brothers, Joseph Wayne Teel of Texas, and Gary Teel of Dexter; six step-daughters and step-sons-in-law, Sheila and Eric Cowan of Birch Tree, Mo., Ronna and Lupe Torres of Greenville, Texas, Karen and Mark Riddle of Dexter, Debbie and Billy Vandiver of Greenville, Texas, Denise and Jim Pavy of Greenville, Texas and Ruth Lovette of Malden; two step-sons and step-daughter-in-law, Leo Winchester of Gideon, Lonnie and Karen of Piggott, Ark.; 17 grandchildren; 24 step-grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.

Visitation was held Thursday, April 28, 2011, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden. Funeral services were conducted on Friday, April 29, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tim Stanfield officiating. Burial was in Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton. Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden was in charge of arrangements.
