Born April 22, 1940, son of the late James Marion Blocker and Lorene Clark Blocker, he was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Eagles Lodge for 12 years, lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans, and he worked in welding at Emerson Electric for 31 years before retiring.
On Feb. 14, 1998, in Kennett, he married Alice Mitchell.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Blocker, of Kennett; one son, Kenneth McNabb, of Oklahoma; one daughter, Janive Linton, of Hernando, Miss.; three brothers, Don Blocker, of Festus, Mo., Charles Blocker and wife, Anita, of Holly, Mich., and Gerald Blocker and wife, Sharon, of Union, Mo.; five sisters, Evelyne Headden, of Atlanta, Ga., Earlian Messick, of Tennessee, Lois Apel and husband, Al, of New York, Sue West and husband, Jerry, of Sylacauga, Ala., and Linda Griffin and husband, Jerry, of Sullivan, Mo.; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Paul Blocker.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Thursday, April 21, at Bradshaw Funneal Home in Kenentt.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, April 22, at Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Bogle officiating.
