Alma Eugenia Henderson, daughter of the late Temple and Carrie Barlow Cook, was born Aug. 28, 1932, in Leachville, Ark., and passed away Monday, April 18, 2011, in Kennett, at the age of 78.
On Oct. 25, 1953, in Black Oak, Ark., she married Alfred B. Henderson, who preceded her in death on Feb. 20, 1989. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Cook; a sister, Prenatha Ann Cook, and a sister in infancy.
Survivors include two sons, Alfred J. Henderson and wife, Barbara, of Mattawan, Mich., and Rodney J. Henderson and wife, Susan, of Lisbon, Portugal; one daughter, Patricia S. "Susie" Henderson, of Arbyrd, Mo.; one brother, Thomas B. Cook, of Pocahontas, Ark.; one sister, Nellie Percifull, of Jonesboro, Ark.; five grandchildren, Andrew Henderson, Carrie Henderson-Weston, Bethany Henderson, Joel Henderson and Leah Henderson; one great-grandson, Noah Weston, and other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 21, and a visitation will also be held from 8:30 a.m. Friday, April 22, and continue until service time at 1 p.m. at McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, April 22, at McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alan Cureton officiating.
Burial will follow in the Senath Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Frank Henderson, Alfred Henderson, Rod Henderson, Andrew Henderson, Joel Henderson and Tom Cook.
