Janice Sharon Shipman, 72, of Holcomb, Mo., passed away Monday, April 11, 2011, at St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago, Ill.
Born April 2, 1939, in Gideon, Mo., daughter of the late Albert Gordon and Queenie Ray Gordon, she was a secretary for an insurance office.
She married Bobbie Lee Shipman, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Albert Gordon II.
Survivors include two sons, Rodney Gordon, of Farmington, Mo., and Kevin Shipman, of Chicago; one daughter, Kim Smith, of Kennett; one brother, Charles Gordon and wife, Olga, of St. Charles, Mo.; four grandchildren, Sharon Gordon and Rodney Gordon II, both of Boliver, Mo., and Kade Smith and Keagan Smith, both of Kennett; four great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
There will be no visitation.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 23, in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton, Mo., with Rev. Jack Allen officiating.
Bradshaw Funeral Home of Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
