Wanda F. Crawford, 68, of Loves Park, Ill., passed away Sunday, April 3, 2011.
It is with deep sadness that the family of Wanda Crawford announces a great loss after her battle with breast cancer surrounded by her loving family on April 3, 2011.
Born Sept. 3, 1942, in Kennett, she was the daughter of Woodrow and Evelyn Essary Allen Sr.
She married James E. Crawford, Sr. in Kennett, on Dec. 1, 1959.
She loved spending time with family and she taught us all the value of family.
Survived by her children, Tila P. (Norman) Young, Atonnia A. (Dominic) Nicosia, Sileena K. (Debbie) Crawford and James E. Crawford II; grandchildren, Dominic (Jill) Nicosia, Tileena Hendershot, Trinette Crawford and Nickalus Nicosia; great-grandchildren, Dhjarum Crawford, Trevor, Aidan and Nadia Hendershot and Peyton Nicosia; brothers and sisters, Joan, Jack, Terry, Barb, Roger and Debbie; special uncle, Delbert, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson, Jeremy; brother, Woodrow, and an aunt, Lillian.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Friday, April 8, at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd., in Machesney Park, Ill.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 9, at Sunset Funeral Home.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
