Ardella Farmer, of Bragg City, Mo., departed this life on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital at the age of 104.
Born on February 22, 1907, in Sweatman, Miss., daughter of the late Clint Oliver and Laura Rate Oliver, she was a retired agriculture farm laborer and a member of the Center Hill AM Church in Mississippi.
On January 26, 1936, in Sweatman, she married George Benjamin Farmer, who preceded her in death in 1997.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Nancy Capwood of Chicago, Ill., and Carylon Holmes of Grenada, Miss.; five sons, Lee Joe of California, Linbyrd and wife, Mary, Willie Fred and wife, Rosa B., Gore and wife, Velma, of Michigan, and Dave of Chicago; one sister, Glayds Purnell of Dayton, Ohio; 51 grand-children, 90 great-grandchildren, 38 great-great-grandchildren and a host of neices and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturday, April 2, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 2 at Bradshaw Funeral Chapel with Rev. Noble Nelson officiating.
Burial will be in Center Hill Cemetery, Duck Hill, Miss.
