Rocina Wilson Parker, daughter of the late Charles Wilson, Sr. and Mae Smithson Wilson, was born Jan. 9, 1927, in Gibson, Missouri and departed this life Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at the age of 84 years, 1 month and 21 days.
She was a former Administrator of the Dunklin County Health Department and member of the Slicer Street Church of Christ in Kennett.
Rocina married Ernie Parker, Sr. in April of 1981. He preceded her in death on April 5, 2001. She was also preceded in death by a step-son, Ernie Parker, Jr.; one brother, Bill Wilson and two sisters, Chris Wilson Sellers and Irene Wilson.
Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Mullins and husband, Gaylon, of Kennett; one step-son, Robert Parker and wife, Sheryl, of Memphis, Tenn.; three brothers, Thomas Wilson and wife, Linda, of Malden, Mo., Charles Wilson, Jr. and wife, Judy, of Holcomb, Mo., and Jim Wilson and wife, Kay, of Holcomb; one grandson, Eric Mullins and wife, Tanya, of Cincinnati, Ohio; two special nieces, Beverly Counts and Patsy Bailey, both of Kennett, and other relatives and many friends.
Memorials may be made to the Children's Home in Paragould, Arkansas or the Slicer Street Church of Christ Youth Group.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Thursday, March 3, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, March 4, at McDaniel Chapel in Kennett with Spencer Furby officiating.
Burial will be follow in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton, Mo..
Pallbearers will be Jim Brice, Frank Stuart, Marc Blankenship, Mike Strother, Jeff Bridges and Butch Anderson.
