Dorothy V. Bickerstaff, of Tyler, Texas, formerly of Kennett, daughter of the late Charles Horner and Gertrude Horner, was born Oct. 12,1927, in Hornersville, Mo., and departed this life Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, at Tyler, at the age of 83 years, 4 months and 8 days.
Dorothy was a member of First Baptist Church in Kennett.
She married J.L. Bickerstaff, who preceded her in death on July 30, 2006.
Survivors include one son, Kerry Bickerstaff and wife, Paula, of Tyler; two daughters, Sherry Paules and husband, James, of Grapevine, Texas, and Pam Kingston and husband, Ron, of Euless, Texas; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, J.C. Horner, of Dexter, Mo., and Charles Horner, of Kennett; two sisters, Betty Meredith, of Jonesboro, Ark., and Louise England of Beebe, Ark., and other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 23, at McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, at McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ed Jansson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
