Panola D. Rickard, 94, of Texas, passed away Friday, Feb. 11, 2011.
She was born Jan. 3, 1917, in Senath, Mo., daughter of the late Clara and Davis Donaldson, she lived in southeast Missouri before moving to Fort Worth, Texas in 1950 with her husband, Tom. Panola was a longtime active member of Diamond Hill United Methodist Church, a life member of the PEO Society, and a former board member of the Northside Food Bank of Fort Worth. She attended Southeast Missouri State College in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Panola and Tom lived in Diamond Hill for many years. They were married 56 years. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1989.
Survivors include two daughters, Judith Goolsby and husband, John, of San Antonio, Texas, and Frances Brooks and husband, David, of North Richland Hills, five grandchildren, Tom Goolsby, Paige Peril, Carol Koshimizu, Davis Tyson and Stephanie Howell; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Jane Buswold, of New York, and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Tuesday, Feb. 15, at Mount Olivet Funeral Home in Fort Worth.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 16, at Mount Olivet Chapel.
Burial will follow in the Mount Olivet Cemetery.
