Judy Kay Segraves was born March 31, 1946, in Kennett, and departed this life to be with Christ Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011 in St. Peters, Mo. Between these dates she lived a life rich in family and friends.
Judy was predeceased by her mother, Virgie Louise Miller; her father, Harry Lebo, Jr., and her step-father, Robert Miller.
She is survived by her brother, Garry Lebo, his wife, Nancy, their two daughters, Rachel and Sarah, and her sister, Vickie Miller. She leaves to mourn her passing, but to anticipate their glad reunion, her husband of over 46 years and the love of her life, Daniel L. Segraves, and her beloved mother-in-law, Agnes Segraves. Daniel and Judy were blessed with a daughter, Sharon Kay Flanders; a son, Mark Alan Segraves; five grandchildren, Erin Tolentino, Danielle Keady, Ethan Keady, Luke Segraves, and Christiana Segraves, and great-grandson, Andrin Tolentino. Her passing is also mourned by her daughter-in-law, Robin Segraves, and Sharon's special friend Tommy Huggins and his daughter Saxton.
Judy was known to be a Christian, a lover of people, an encourager and giver. Her cheerfulness lightened the hearts of many. She had no enemies, but countless friends. She died the death of the righteous, entering into the presence of Jesus in the company of her family. Her home going service was conducted Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011, at The Sanctuary United Pentecostal Church in Hazelwood, Mo., by her pastors, Rev. Timothy Dugas, Rev. Scott Graham, and Rev. Mitchell Bland, with final remarks by Rev. David Bernard, general superintendent of the United Pentecostal Church International.
Archway Memorial Chapel of Hazelwood was in charge of the arrangements.
Her body was buried in Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Charles, Missouri, but her spirit is with her Lord Jesus Christ, awaiting the grand resurrection morning.
Pallbearers were Mark A. Segraves, James Byrd, Jeffrey Garner, Keith McCann, Harry Meeks and Dannie G. Odle.
