Edith Whitledge Rudder, born July 5, 1923, in Naylor, Mo., daughter of the late Frank and Alma Macom, passed away Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell, Mo., at the age of 87.
Mrs. Rudder will be remembered for her work in labor and delivery at Dunklin County Memorial Hospital, where she worked for 26 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Laura Whitledge Holder, of Trenton, Tenn., and Vickie Rudder Culver and husband, Rick, of Pollard, Ark.; two sons, Sonny Whitledge and wife, Cleta, of Nixa, Mo., and Larry Whitledge and wife, Dena, of Milan, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Moselle Cotner, of Clinton, Ill., and Erma Macom, of Lane, Kan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Sharon Whitledge Kinnard; husband, Lee Whitledge, who she was married to for 26 years; husband, Joe Rudder, who she was married to 31 years; one brother, Gerald Macom, and a sister, Opal Gander.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 7, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with Bro. Charles Richardson officiating.
Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
