Born Nov. 15, 1941, in Arbyrd, Mo., son of the late Jeff and Clara Bell Taylor Renfrow, he served in the U.S. Air Force from 1961 to 1968. He was a retired brakeman for the N&S Railroad.
He married Cleo "Joy" Pierce.
Survivors include Cleo Renfrow; a daughter, Ginger Mettler and husband, Vince, of Denver, Ind.; a son, Gerald Renfrow, Jr., and wife, Tracey, of Peru; three grandchildren, Andrew Mettler, of Knoxville, Tenn., Emily Renfrow and Shalyn Renfrow, both of Peru; a great-g grandchild, Tray Mettler, of Macy, Ind.; three brothers, Gene Renfrow and James "Buddy" Renfrow, both of Arbyrd, and Gary Renfrow, of Paragould, Ark., and four sisters, Peggy Short, of Arbyrd, Carolyn Forbes, of Paragould, Sue McNeil, of Laquey, Mo., and Dana McCoy, of Leachville, Ark.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Rita Slochowsky.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 1, at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Eaton officiating.
Burial was in the EverRest Memorial Park Cemetery in Cass County, with a military committal service planned.
