He was born Sept. 1, 1921 in Stoddard County, Mo., son of the late Albert C. and Amanda Jane Davis Goza.
Mr. Goza was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sikeston and the Bloomfield Masonic Lodge and had been a self-employed farmer before retiring.
In 1984, he married Lenora Edwards; she survives of the home in Sikeston.
Other survivors include one son, Rev. Hutson Lee Goza, Jr., of Alexandria, La.; three daughters, Carol McDonough, of Dexter, Mo., Linda Underwood, of Sikeston, and Cathy Christian, of Dexter; two step-daughters, Barbara Jones, of Sikeston and Teresa Wyatt, of Fruitland, Mo.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Gail Sherry King; three brothers, and four sisters.
Visitation was held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 2, at Ponder Funeral Home.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 3, in the sanctuary of First United Methodist Church with Rev. Geoff Posegate and Dr. Jim Davis officiating.
Burial followed in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
Pallbearers were Garry Warner, Pat Jones, Leetis Byrd, Britt McConnell, Greg Krokstrom, and Eric Wooden.
Honorary pallbearers were Bernard Rice, Allan Crites, and Jack Yount.
