Steve Lanny Petty, 58, of Holcomb, Mo., passed away Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
Born March 23, 1952, in Kennett, son of Paul and Alice Sanders Petty, he was a U.S. Army veteran, a welder for American Railcar Industries, and a member of Southside Baptist Church in Kennett.
On June 5, 1985, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., he married Lana Colbert.
Survivors include his wife, Lana Petty, of Holcomb; one son, Chris Petty and wife, Melissa, of Kennett; one step-son, Josh Lebo, of Caruthersville, Mo.; one brother, Larry Petty, of Kennett; four step-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Cody, Alex and Caitlyn, and his parents, Paul and Alice Petty, of Kennett, and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services were held at noon, today, Thursday, Jan. 27, at Southside Baptist Church in Kennett with Rev. Johnny Bogle officiating.
Burial with full military rites was in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, Mo.
Pallbearers were Jason Colbert, Jared Cude, Ken Cude, Chuck Bulla, Lanny Watson and Dennis Lynn.
Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett was in charge of arrangements.
