Freeda Midkiff, 73, of Kennett, formerly of Rector, Ark., passed from this life Monday, Jan. 10, 2011, at the St. Bernards Hospital in Jonesboro, Ark.
She was born Nov. 2, 1937, to the late Raymond and Pearl Davidson Cavaness.
In addition to her parents, Freeda was preceded in death by a daughter, Regena Medley and two brothers, Donald Cavaness and Jerry Cavaness.
She is survived by her husband, William Lindol Midkiff; one son and his wife, Randal and JoKeaha Midkiff, of Rector; two daughters and their husbands, Karen and Brian Deck, of Kennett, and Kim and Jim Eudy, of Jonesboro; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two brothers, J.R. Cavaness and Veda, of Rector, and Ronald Cavaness and Brenda, of Paragould, Ark.; six sisters, Dorothy Parrish, Linda Parrish and Earl, Narine Ransom and Bob, Vodine Stallings and Neil, Shalla Jones, and Becky Floyd and David, all of Marmaduke, Ark., along with a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., today, Wednesday, Jan. 12, at the General Baptist Church in Rector.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 13, at the General Baptist Church in Rector with Brother Kenny Burns officiating.
Burial will follow in the Woodland Heights Cemetery.
