Nancy (Fisher) Faulkner, daughter of the late Samuel Green Fisher and Cora Marie (Bach) Fisher, was born May 18, 1923 in Kennett, Missouri and departed this life on December 25, 2010 at the age of 87 years, 7 months and 7 days. Nancy married John David "J.D." Faulkner who preceded her in death. Survivors include: one daugher Flo Colhouer and her husband James of Kennett, Missouri, one grandson John Colhouer of Austin, Texas, two nephews Samuel T. Fisher, Jr. and John Fisher both of Kennett, Missouri, one great niece Jennifer Keene and her daughter Emilee both of Jackson, Missouri, other relatives and many friends. Nancy was preceded in death by a brother Samuel Thomas "Bud" Fisher. Nancy was of Kennett, Missouri and passed away Saturday, December 25, 2010 at Twin Rivers Medical Center in Kennett, Missouri. A lifetime educator, Mrs. Faulkner attended Christian College in Columbia, Missouri where she obtained an Associate of Arts degree in 1942. Upon graduation she enrolled in Louisiana State University at Baton Rouge, Louisiana where she recieved her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1944. For over 20 years Mrs. Faulkner taught in the Kennett school system as an elementary teacher. In addition to her interest in education, mrs Faulkner was a member of P.E.O., past member of the Aldelpjian Club and a life long member of the First Christian Church in Kennett. memorials may be made to the First Christian Church on the Kennett Education Foundation.
