Born Sept. 18, 1950, daughter of Essie Cothren Harris and the late Bruce Harris, she was loved by her family, friends and Church of Christ family. She taught children's Sunday school class, active in bear making for sick children, and a friend to anyone in need. Annette was employed by Boeing Aircraft as a team leader of the Senior Contract, and Negotiations Specialist for 38 years.
On Feb. 14, 1970, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Ray Carter.
Survivors include her husband, Ray Carter, of the home; two sons she was very proud of, who were devoted to their mother, Brian Carter and wife, Sabrina, and Michael Carter and wife, Shannon, all of St. Louis, Mo.; five grandchildren, Audrey and Elley Carter, Bailey Reidt and Aiden and Karah Carter; one brother, Buster Harris, of Holcomb, Mo.; two sisters, Elaine Jackson and husband, Odell, of Mountain View, Ark., and Bonnie Hall and husband, Norman, of Clarksville, Tenn.; two nieces, Nora Manes, of Malden, Mo., and her loving caregiver, Deedra Hall, of Nashville, Tenn., and three nephews, J.B. Harris, of Holcomb, and Ted and Gary Hall, of Clarksville.
She was preceded in death by one niece, Shanan Michelle Jackson Bradfield, and one nephew, Mark Ausley.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 3, at Baumann Colonial Chapel in Overland, Mo.
Burial was in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at St. Louis.
