Mildred Malone Elam, of Kennett, daughter of the late Ferdinan Dewey Hinch and Florence Pearl Green Hinch, was born May 9, 1922, in Kansas City, Mo., and departed this life Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, at National Health Care in Kennett, at the age of 88 years, 5 months and 27 days.
Mildred married Edward Clyde Malone on July 20, 1938. Clyde preceded her in death on Oct. 26, 1970. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Lauren N. Hinch, Mitchell R. Hinch, David Hinch and Paul E. Hinch.
Mildred was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Kennett.
Survivors include two daughters, Connie Malone Blanchard and her husband, Bill, of House Springs, Mo., and Stephanie Malone Shinn and her husband, Dennis of Jonesboro, Ark.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Virginia Brown, of Kennett, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 7, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., at McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Bogle officiating.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers are Adam Blanchard, John Blanchard, Perry Blanchard, Jared Helm, Van Abanzado and Ronald Blanchard.
