Betty Jo Davis, 80, of Burton, Mich., passed away Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010, at Heartland Health Care Centers-Briarwood Manor.
A memorial service was held at 1 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 28, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, Mich.. with Pastor Walt Reynolds officiating.
Betty Jo was born in Holcomb, Mo., on April 26, 1930. Daughter of the late Jonathan and Birdie Limbaugh Cook, she was a longtime member of Bentley Wesleyan Church. Betty Jo worked with her husband at a full service gas station that they owned together. She also worked at The Flint Journal for 15 years. Betty Joe enjoyed doing needlepoint in her spare time.
She is survived by her sons, Bill Davis and wife, Wendy, Jim Davis and Patrick Davis; two grandchildren, Kaleen and Jennifer; two great-grandchildren, Ryan and Greg; one brother, Mason Cook, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; one son, Harold Joe; daughter-in-law, Kathryn; three sisters, Gracie Cook, Gladys Luna and Frieda Snipes, and one brother, Jewell Cook.
