Jerry Douglas Davis, 67, of Malden died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010, at his residence. He attended the Stanfield General Baptist Church in Gideon and was employed as an over-the-road truck driver.

Born April 23, 1943, in Blytheville, Ark., he was the son of Carl Earl and Patril Jessie (Moody) Davis. On May 11, 1965, in East St. Louis, Ill., he was united in marriage to the former Mildred Marie Rhea, who survives of the home in Malden.

Also surviving are one son, Kevin Wayne Davis of Malden; three daughters, Audrey Evans and husband, the Rev. Andy Evans of Gideon, Carla Burkman of Malden and Vicki Lynn and husband, Red Allen of Girard, Kan.; one sister, Gail Greco of Imperial; and 10 grandchildren, Joshua Coleman of Campbell, Gregory Coleman of Girard, Kan., Carl Harvell of Pittsburg, Kan., Mandi Hankins and Clinton Evans, both of Gideon, Micca Burnett of Campbell, Crystal Bard of Cape Girardeau and Anthony, Jacob and Cordie Burkman, all of Malden.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son Clinton Douglas Davis; and one brother, Bobby Wayne Davis.

Visitation was held Friday, Oct. 29, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden. Funeral services followed immediately in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Andy Evans officiating. Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden was in charge of arrangements.
