He was born Oct. 29, 1931 in Kennett, and was the son of the late Millard and Lillie Mungle Crawford. He was a retired salesman and served his country in the Arkansas National Guard. Gerald was a member of the Vine Street Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Terri Crawford, of Crossett; two grandsons, Will Crawford and Sam Crawford, both of Crossett; five brothers, Tony Crawford, Jack Crawford and Allen Crawford, all of Kennett, Jerry Crawford, of Osceola, Ark., and Lannie Crawford, of Mountain Grove, Mo.; three sisters, Judy Holt, of Kennett, Sandra Niermeyer, of St. Cloud, Fla., and Juanita Hendrix, of House Springs, Mo.; a special friend, Dorothy West, of Batesville, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 27, at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Batesville.
Funeral services will at 10 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 28, at the Vine Street Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Tony Moser officiating.
Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to Vine Street Missionary Baptist Church, 900 Vine Street, Batesville, AR 72501 or to Mr. Crawford's grandson's swim team at Crest Swim Team, 1201 Beech Street, Crossett, AR 71635.
