James Kevin Stone, of Fenton, Mo., passed away Friday, Oct. 8, 2010, at his residence, at the age of 46 years and 14 days.
He was born Sept. 24, 1964, in Kennett, to James "Jim" Stone and the late Vonda "Bonnie" Wilcoxson Smothers.
Survivors include one son, Joseph Stone, of Edwardsville, Ill., one granddaughter, Taylor Jade Stone; two brothers, Mike Stone and wife, Cheryl, of Desoto, Mo., and Royce Smothers and wife, Angie, of Bernie, Mo.; several nieces and nephews, and other relatives and many friends.
Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Vonda Smothers; stepfather, Robert "Bob" Smothers and one sister, Lesa Gayle Harris.
There will be a memorial service held for Mr. Stone at 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 23, at Faith Methodist Church in Kennett with Pastor Ron Wilcoxson officiating.
The arrangements were under the direction of McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett and the immediate family.
