Born, March 15, 1920, in Potosi, she was the daughter of the late Richard Dale and Estella Ann (Neff) Robison. On April 25, 1936, in New Madrid, she was united in marriage to Virgil Nolan Cowan, who preceded her in death on Feb. 2, 1975.
Also preceding her in death were three sons, Virgil Lee Cowan, Grover Cowan and Delmer Cowan; two sisters, Sarah Boyer and Aula Jenkins; and one brother, Ray Robison.
Surviving are eight sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Irene Cowan of Old Monroe, Mo., Chester and Joyce Cowan of Crescent, Fla., Robert and Mary Cowan of Kennewick, Wash., Clarence and Cindy Cowan of Dyersburg, Tenn., John and Linda Cowan of Springfield, Charles and Julie Cowan of Vandalia, Gregory and Tammy Cowan of Lebanon and Eric and Sheila Cowan of Middleton, Idaho; six daughters and sons-in-law, Ruby and Robert Bryant of Poplar Bluff, Vivian and Jim Moore of Arnold, Virginia and Jerry Baker of Bloomfield, Lois and Terry Gregory of Clarkton, Debi and Robert Hooper of East Prairie, and Barbara Cowan and Mike Nichols of Malden; one sister, Margaret Hicks of Middleton, Idaho; two brothers, Junior Robison and Gene Robison, both of Middleton; 33 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Monday, Oct. 11, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 12, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Martin Goode officiating. Burial was in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton. Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden was in charge of arrangements.
