Melvin McElwrath, Jr., 70, of St. Louis, Mo., formerly of Kennett, passed away Thursday, Sept. 15, 2010, at Alexius Hospital in St. Louis.
Born Sept. 17, 1939, in Blytheville, Ark., son of Melvin McElwrath and Alma Lorene Harrell McElwrath, he was a typesetter for a printing company.
Survivors include three sons, Mark, Michael Patrick and Ryan Paul McElwrath, all of St. Louis; three daughters, Patricia Ann McElwrath, of Buffalo, Mo., and Deborah Anne and Brandy Lynn McElwrath, both of St. Louis; several grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Allen McElwrath.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Monday, Sept. 20, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will; be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Sept. 20, at Bradshaw Funeral Home with Rev. Judy Conder officiating.
Burial will follow in the Gregory Cemetery at Kennett.
