Kenneth married Bonnie Anderson on April 23, 1950.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Bonnie Sue Henson, of Kennett; one daughter, Scottie Sue Landess and her husband James Paul Wright, of Kennett; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, W.E. Henson and A.C. Henson.
Ken was an army veteran of the Korean Conflict. For several years, he was owner and operator of Ken's Barber Shop in Holcomb and later received a congressional appointment to serve as the rural mail carrier out of the Holcomb Post Office. For a total of 40 years, Ken served as deacon and music director for Baptist churches within the Black River Baptist Association. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett with services being held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 12, at McDaniel Chapel in Kennett with Revs. Dale Rickman and Chris Maynard officiating.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers are Glen Earl Harris, Ricky Burdin, Representative Tom Todd, Will Mobley, Lynn Smith and Justin Smith.
Honorary pallbearers are Troy Rebstock, Tommy Masterson, Johnny Bogle, Gene Watts, Darrell Wheeler, Maurice Wallace, C.E. Lemonds, Tom Thrasher, Kevin True, Roger Champ and Dr. Surat Sinasa.
Memorials may be made to the Friendship Baptist Church Building Fund.
