Nick was born Oct. 6, 1984 in Springfield, Mo., and was currently employed as a heavy equipment operator with Oakley Fertilizer Company in Caruthersville. He was a 2003 graduate of Logan-Rogersville High School where he played football. He enjoyed fishing and loved the 49er's.
He is joined in heaven by Bobbi, Robbie, Ruth and Junior.
He is survived by his daughter, Skye Jean Nicole Blankenship, Sparta; his mother, Paula and Mark Long, Rogersville; his father, Michael McCormick, Kennett; a sister, Ashley J. McCormick, his twin brother, Nathan W. "Nate" McCormick; grandparents, Gary and Shirley Long; grandmother, Wilma Holford, grandfather, Paul H. Russom; and great-grandparents, Red and Wilma Long, all of Rogersville; two very special people that he loved, Laura Lange and Gavin Ward; five uncles; five aunts; a niece, Casha McCormick; several cousins and many, many people that he truly considered his family and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 11, at J.D. Lee and Sons Funeral Home in Rogersville.
Burial will follow in Hopedale Cemetery, Ozark.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m., before the service, Saturday, Sept. 11, in the funeral home.
