According to agents with the Bootheel Drug Task Force, the Kennett Police Department (KPD) received information over the weekend that Lashell L. Roundtree, 28, would be traveling in a vehicle from Blytheville, Ark., carrying illegal drugs into the area.
At approximately 3:30 p.m., on Saturday, Aug. 28, agents with the task force observed the vehicle traveling west on Highway 84 toward Kennett and alerted authorities with the KPD who stopped the car within five minutes from receiving the information. As agents conducted a search on the vehicle, local K-9 officer "Midas" with handler, Mark Dennis located a large amount of crack cocaine, as well as marijuana.
Local prosecutors say the crack-cocaine was more than 6 grams, resulting in the felony charges filed against Roundtree.
Today's appearance in court will be for Roundtree's initial arraignment. She is currently incarcerated at the Dunklin County Justice Center, being held on a bond of $75,000.
Further details will be provided once they become available.

Thanks to whoever it was that notified the police. We must rid our neighborhoods of these drugs and the dealers. Thanks also to the police who acted so quickly on this.
$113 billion is spent on marijuana every year in the U.S., and because of the prohibition *every* dollar of it goes straight into the hands of criminals. Far from preventing people from using marijuana, the prohibition instead creates zero legal supply amid massive and unrelenting demand.
According to the ONDCP, at least sixty percent of Mexican drug cartel money comes from selling marijuana in the U.S., they protect this revenue by brutally torturing, murdering and dismembering thousands of innocent people.
If we can STOP people using marijuana then we need to do so NOW, but if we can't then we need to legalize the production and sale of marijuana to adults with after-tax prices set too low for the cartels to match. One way or another, we have to force the cartels out of the marijuana market and eliminate their highly lucrative marijuana incomes - no business can withstand the loss of sixty percent of its revenue!
To date, the cartels have amassed more than 100,000 "foot soldiers" and operate in 230 U.S. cities, and the longer they're able to exploit the prohibition the more powerful they get and the more our own personal security is put at risk.
need to get the ones on our street ,but no going on for years
I heard maryjane gives you the munchies, well here is proof!!! Awful people, just awful people!!
