Chlodine Joiner, of Kennett, daughter of the late Arkley Maxwell and Annie Hopkins Maxwell, was born Oct. 24, 1920 in Houston, Ark., and departed this life Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett, at the age of 89 years, 9 months and 29 days.
Chlodine was the owner of Joiners Daycare in Kennett for 37 years.
She married Oran Joiner, Sr., on Sept. 16, 1939. He preceded her in death on Aug. 22, 1967. Chlodine was also preceded in death by two brothers: Joe and Bud Maxwell; two sisters, Jessie Johnson and Wanda Gruggett; two grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Survivors include three sons, Oran Joiner, Jr., and wife, Mary, of Kennett, Bill Joiner and wife, Brenda, of Marion, Ark., and Paul Joiner and wife, Mary, of Kennett; four daughters, Barbara Kirkpatrick and husband, Clifford, of Kennett, Sandy Joiner and Linda Joiner, both of Kennett and Pat Pippin, of Kennett; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; a special ex-son-in-law, Rick Pippin, of Kennett, and other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 25, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 26, at McDaniel Chapel in Kennett with Rev. Jim Davis officiating.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers are Glen Joiner, Jeremy Joiner, Jarred Joiner, Charles Hourd, Dale Willenbrink and Wiley Goad.
